Our research vision

"THINGS THAT THINK"- to think ahead of the future

The technical systems of tomorrow will be capable of making independent adjustments to handle relevant changes that occur in their operating conditions or in the general environment. To provide this degree of interactive functionality, these new systems will have to be composed of a complex multitude of interconnected subsystems.

Working with the symbiosis of computer science and diverse engineering disciplines, our aim is to create innovative technical systems that generate new benefits and perspectives for economic growth and additional employment.

We are pursuing these goals in close cooperation with business and are at the cutting edge of research through our deep involvement in international, national and university-based research networks.
