The Institute of Human Sciences, the subject area Philosophy and the Chair of Philosophy and Ethics of Scientific and Technological Cultures are seeking to fill a position as a Research Assistant with a Bachelor's degree (f/m/d) (WHB) as part of the ERC Synergy Grant "Cultures of the Cryosphere. Infrastructures, Politics and Futures of Artificial Cooling".
This is a temporary position of 10 hours per week.
The tasks include the following:
- Researching, compiling and maintaining sources in Zotero
- Support in the collection and documentation of research data in the Cryo team
- Guided literature searches
- Editing manuscripts and slides (Overleaf, Word, Powerpoint)
- Collaboration in the organisation of international and interdisciplinary workshops, conferences
- Preparation/follow-up of team meetings
This is expected:
- A Master's degree in the field of Philosophy/ Sociology/ History/ Media Studies/ Digital Humanities or similar.
- A sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently
- Thematic interest
- Experience with Zotero and entering/editing sources or the willingness to familiarise yourself with it
- Ability and willingness to independently familiarise yourself with new fields and programmes
- Willingness to work in a team and engage in interdisciplinary dialogue - in English and German
- Good knowledge of German and English
