Lean production methods, digital tools, engineering design, use of collaborative robots – in the "Applied Production Technology" course, students analyze and design an assembly system. They gain practical experience, adapt assembly and storage systems and optimize processes. The new designed assembly system is simulated in the “SAMRT Innovation Lab” laboratory infrastructure. The findings enable them to identify and implement further optimization potential. After two weeks of intensive collaboration in SoSe 2024, a successfully optimized assembly system was presented!
