The fifth and sixth consortium meetings of the LiRaS research project, in which our Circuit Technology specialist group is involved, have now taken place.
At the end of October, Konrad Technologies invited all participating partners to Radolfzell on Lake Constance. Around a month later, the consortium leader Volkswagen welcomed all parties to its home town of Wolfsburg. The meeting of all consortium partners was used to discuss current technical issues together and in person.
The two hosts also took the opportunity to present their own companies: Konrad Technologies showed off its own premises on Lake Constance, while Volkswagen rounded off the meeting with a factory tour.
"LiRaS" refers to an innovative sensor system that combines the advantages of photonic radar and lidar. The combination of both technologies promises a high-resolution measurement of the surroundings and is therefore ideal for supporting vehicles in road traffic, for example.
