Yasir Mahmood, a postdoctoral researcher in our “Data Science” workgroup, will be attending the Conference on eXplainable Artificial Intelligence in Fortaleza, Brazil, from 1 to 3 July.

The World Conference on Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) is an international, interdisziplinäre conference that brings together researchers, practitioners and representatives from academia, industry and politics to discuss explainable AI. The focus is on technical, societal, ethical and legal aspects of XAI, as well as methods for improving transparency, traceability and trust in AI systems. Against the backdrop of global AI regulations such as the EU AI Act, the conference is of particular relevance for responsible and traceable AI development.
