Fourth consortium meeting in the LiRaS project

 |  Heinz Nixdorf InstituteSystem and Circuit Technology / Heinz Nixdorf Institut

The fourth consortium meeting of the LiRaS research project, in which our "System and Circuit Technology"  workgroup is involved, took place from September 9 to 10th. This time, Cycle invited all partners to Hamburg in the north of Germany. The two days were used to discuss current technical issues. The host took the opportunity to present not only its own premises on the DESY campus, but also the city of Hamburg during an evening trip on the harbor ferry.

“LiRaS” refers to a new type of sensor system that combines the advantages of photonic radar and lidar. The combination of both technologies promises a high-resolution measurement of the surroundings and is therefore ideally suited to support vehicles in road traffic, for example.
