We are delighted to welcome Dr. Bill Happi to our "Data Science" workgroup.
Bill is a postdoctoral researcher in the DICE group and his current research focuses on knowledge graphs and their applications. In particular, he concentrates on entity alignment, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and the generation of text from SPARQL. At the heart of his research is the question of how the vast repositories of structured knowledge on the Semantic Web can be better accessed, queried and linked together. He is particularly interested in developing neural architectures that can make targeted use of the specific structure of knowledge graphs.
In his spare time, he enjoys sport, music and literature. He is also currently learning German – an exciting and enriching challenge for him since he moved to Paderborn.
A warm welcome, Bill!
