We are pleased to announce the start of the ProDNN project, a joint project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR), in which Paderborn University is one of the project partners and in which the workgroups "Modelling and Design of Photonic Quantum Systems" of Prof. Saravi and "System and Circuit Technology" of Prof. Scheytt at the Heinz Nixdorf Institute are involved.
The aim of the ProDNN project is to develop hybrid optoelectronic neural networks that combine an optical diffractive neural network with an electronic neural network in order to optimally utilise the advantages of optics for image processing, particularly for applications in production monitoring.
