The workgroup “Behavioral Economic Engineering & Responsible Management” has successfully completed the FASTGATE project.
As part of FASTGATE, concepts and solutions for the further development and digitalization of airport operations processes were investigated and tested in collaboration with project partners at the innovative Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport. The workgroup's contribution focused in particular on the interface between humans and technology. The project examined how technical systems can be designed and introduced in such a way that they take appropriate account of organizational conditions, user needs, and human decision-making behavior.
Through this socio-technical perspective, the project contributed to a holistic technical development in which technological innovations are not considered in isolation, but in interaction with human, organizational, and institutional factors.
