From 10 to 12 June, Professor Dr. Sina Saravi, head of our "Modelling and Design of Photonic Quantum Systems" workgroup, attended the workshop "Frontiers of Neuromorphic Computing II" at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light in Erlangen.

The workshop focussed on current developments in the field of neuromorphic computing and innovative hardware concepts for energy-efficient artificial intelligence applications. The focus was on novel approaches that combine high computing speeds with strong parallelisation. Various physical platforms and learning methods for future AI systems were also presented and discussed.

Researchers from various disciplines discussed new approaches and technologies for future computer systems.

Further information on the workshop can be found here.
