Dr. Yasir Mahmood, postdoctoral researcher and member of our "Data Science" group, is travelling to Singapore to present two accepted papers at the AAAI 2026, the "Annual AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence". He will present the paper "Can You Tell the Difference? Contrastive Explanations for ABox Entailments" (authors: Patrick Koopmann, Yasir Mahmood, Axel Ngonga and Balram Tiwari) and "Structure-Aware Encodings of Argumentation Properties for Clique-width" (authors: Yasir Mahmood, Markus Hecher, Johanna Groven, and Johannes K. Fichte).
The AAAI conference is in its 40th year and aims to promote research in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and to foster scientific exchange between researchers, practitioners, scientists, students, and engineers from across the field of AI and related disciplines. The AAAI received a total of 31,000 submissions. Of the 23,680 submissions that reached Phase 1 of the review process for the Main Technical Track, our group's submissions were among the 4,167 submissions that were accepted.
