Our research associate Maxim Weizel from the "System and Circuit Technology" workgroup attended the 32nd IEEE ICECS 2025 in Marrakesh from 17-19 November 2025. The leading IEEE conference for electronics and circuit design focussed on energy-efficient systems, smart automotive electronics as well as neuromorphic and in-memory computing architectures.

His paper "High-Voltage (5-Vpp) Driver Monolithically Integrated with Thermally Tunable Optical Ring Resonators in a Silicon Photonics Technology" was presented in this context. It describes a compact silicon photonics chip that combines a four-channel high-voltage driver with thermally tunable ring resonators. An important step towards scalable, multi-channel fibre optic communication systems.
