How can firefighters be better protected against overload during operations?
As part of the EU research project CREXDATA, research is conducted on how biometric data can be used to recognize fatigue of firefighters at an early stage. Together with the Dortmund fire brigade and the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche in Rome, our “Product Engineering” workgroup are conducting a feasibility study. Currently, they are observing a series of realistic exercises and collecting - strictly anonymized - biometric data from the emergency responders together with the Dortmund fire brigade using appropriate measuring devices. Initial analyses are promising!
