In April 2025, Heinz Nixdorf will celebrate his 100th birthday. We are taking this anniversary as an opportunity to look back on his impressive life's work together as the Heinz Nixdorf Institute & Fraunhofer IEM on April 9 and pay tribute to how he shaped the research landscape in Paderborn. The event gives us the opportunity to learn more about how Heinz Nixdorf has had a lasting impact on science as a visionary, trailblazer and pioneer - from his innovative approaches to technology development to the founding of our institute, which is still an important player in research today.
We look forward to two exciting keynote speeches by Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Risch from the Board of the Heinz Nixdorf Foundation and Dr. Martin Schmitt, historian with a focus on digital history at the University of Paderborn. The event will be hosted by Prof. Roman Dumitrescu.
