Our researchers are unique. Here they introduce themselves and show their very personal side behind the scientific work.

Sarah Pinno:

"During my Bachelor's and Master's degree in International Business Studies at Paderborn University, I was drawn to San Diego State University, USA, to gain experience abroad. This time in an international environment not only gave me exciting professional impulses, but also had a lasting impact on my personal development. During the course of my studies, I was also able to gain valuable practical experience through various working student activities and as a research assistant in the Behavioural Economic Engineering and Responsible Management workgroup led by Prof. Dr. René Fahr. My Master's thesis, which I wrote in cooperation with a Paderborn-based company under the supervision of Prof Fahr on the Supply Chain Duty of Care Act, was particularly exciting.

Before I continued my academic career, I fulfilled my dream of travelling the world. Among other things, I lived and worked in Sydney for several months, explored the east coast of Australia and travelled to numerous other countries. This time was very enriching for me personally and broadened my view of the world.

For over a year now, I have been part of the workgroup at the Heinz Nixdorf Institute again and am actively involved in the regional sustainability transformation in East Westphalia-Lippe in the Green.OWL project. I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to bring together science, business and society and work together to shape a more sustainable future.

I also enjoy being on the move and travelling in my free time: whether it's running, going to the gym or discovering new places. Socialising with friends, implementing new ideas and sporting activities not only give me energy, but also inspire me for my work."
