Our researchers are unique. Here they introduce themselves and show their very personal side behind the scientific work.

Priyanshu Tiwari:

"I am currently working as a research associate in theoretical quantum optics at the Heinz Nixdorf Institute in Paderborn, under the supervision of Prof. Sina Saravi. I moved to Germany in 2021 to pursue my academic and research ambitions, beginning my journey in Jena. In 2022, I joined Prof. Saravi’s workgroup as an internship student, an experience that evolved into my Master’s thesis and ultimately led to my current PhD position as the workgrouptransitioned to Paderborn.

My work lies at the intersection of quantum optics and nonlinear photonics, where I explore novel architectures for next-generation quantum technologies, with a focus on scalable and efficient systems that connect fundamental research with practical applications.

Beyond my academic path, I am driven by a broader ambition to create high-impact work and contribute to emerging technological landscapes. In my free time, I have recently taken up running and practice yoga to maintain both physical and mental balance. I also enjoy cooking and reflective reading at the intersection of science, philosophy, and religion, viewing both research and life as evolving processes shaped by curiosity and new perspectives."
