Our “Product Creation” workgroup, led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Iris Gräßler, presented three papers at this year’s Industrial Simulation Conference (ISC) in San Sebastián! As part of the KLUG project, Marcel Niemeyer presented the necessary competence profiles and roles for the introduction of predictive maintenance in SMEs. Niklas Döhner presented the process model developed as part of the EU research project CREXDATA for integrating simulation data into data-driven decision support for strategic product planning. Deniz Özcan’s presentation focused on competence-oriented workflow modelling for strategic decision-making. A summary of the presentations: they lay the foundations for data-driven decision-making across various areas of the organisation.
