From 18 to 21 May 2026, several research assistants from our institute attended the International Design Conference in Cavtat, Croatia.

They contributed six papers to the conference:

  • Model Context Protocol for MBSE: An interoperable agentic framework for system modelling - Bazzal, Schleifer, Lungu, Kruse, Goetz, Koldewey, Tissen, Wartzack, Dumitrescu
  • Consumer behaviour and incentives for slow-the-loop strategies in the bicycle industry - Pinno, Petzke, Strauch, Koldewey, Dumitrescu, Fahr
  • How to develop a venture clienting strategy? - Chitsazzadeh, Koldewey, Dumitrescu
  • 12 roles for the organisational design of data-driven product management - Fichtler, Petzke, Skupin, Grigoryan, Koldeway, Dumitrescu
  • Design for Circular Behaviour: A literature-based conceptual model - Jagnow, Stöhr, Koldewey, Dumitrescu
  • Systematic literature review on AI-based systems engineering assistants and interaction design - Tülp, Koldewey, Dumitrescu

The conference combines engineering, Computer Science, cognitive science and philosophical perspectives and discusses in particular how design can adapt to technological, societal and ecological changes. The focus is on sustainable development, shaping the future and the use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in the design process. The conference comprised 305 scientific contributions and more than 450 participants from over 30 countries.
