First-semester students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering visit Meyer Werft

 |  Heinz Nixdorf InstituteProduktentstehung / Heinz Nixdorf Institut

Students gained exciting insights into the complex processes of modern shipbuilding during an excursion through the Meyer Werft shipyard. During the tour, which was organised by our "Product Creation" workgroup, they learned about the special challenges and sustainability aspects of cruise ships, research vessels and other special ships. In Emden, the students reflected on the impressions they had gained and worked together to develop their goals for their studies and beyond. A common goal: to contribute to more sustainable products as engineers - the basics for this are taught in the "Circular Production" course.
