At the invitation of the coordinator at the Technical University of Crete: On 9 and 10 April 2025, the 16 international partners of the EU project CREXDATA presented their interim results at the consortium meeting in Crete. Jens Pottebaum, Marcel Ebel, Deniz Özcan and Niklas Döhner from our Product Creation workgroup presented the current status of the integration of the overall CREXDATA system for extreme weather events. One focus is on simulation models for floods and forest fires, in each case in combination with rescue robotics. A highly topical subject - not least recognisable in the recently presented flood app for NRW. This should also be reflected in the utilisation strategy for the entire Prediction-as-a-Service platform, which the Paderborn scientists presented.
