The sixth consortium meeting of the BMWE-funded Decide4ECO research project, held at Contact Software’s headquarters in Bremen, was entirely in the spirit of Hannover Messe 2026:
All partners presented implementations for sustainability assessment as a decision-making tool for product development—operating within the Manufacturing-X data ecosystem. Sustainability analyses are now integrated into PLM systems such as CONTACT Elements and Teamcenter and are being prepared for presentation at the Hannover Messe. Our “Product Development” workgroup, led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Iris Gräßler, demonstrated the combination of development and production data to improve data quality and ensure meaningful analyses in the development of sustainable products.
