The effects of extreme weather events are being felt worldwide - floods and forest fires are in the news almost daily. At the EU Science for Preparedness Conference in Turin, Niklas Döhner, research associate in our "Product Creation" workgroup, presented the results of the EU research project CREXDATA. By processing extreme data using artificial intelligence and real-time algorithms, the technologies of the CREXDATA platform support decision-making in extreme weather operations. The presentation in Turin has increased interest and we are looking forward to providing more in-depth insights into the CREXDATA platform at the "Global Initiative on Resilience to Natural Hazards through AI Solutions" workshop in Brussels on 11 and 12 December.
