On 14 October 2026, from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm, the new online event ‘The Future in Dialogue – Engineering Practice Meets Philosophy of Technology’ will begin, moderated by Prof. Dr Suzana Alpsancar, Head of our workgroup ‘Philosophy and ethics of techno-scientific cultures’.
The opening session will focus on the question of how robotics and physical AI can support people in the care and healthcare sectors, and what ethical, social and technical requirements need to be taken into account. Experts from the fields of technology, care and the philosophy of technology will discuss specific applications and prospects for responsible technological development.
The event is open to specialists, students and the interested public.
