Performance Engineering for Self-Adaptive Systems

The resource-efficient operation of software systems is a goal of research and industrie. In order to achieve this , software systems need to continously adapt their resource use to the actual demand.

The design and analysis of these self-adaptive Software systems is challenging. Performance aspects of these systems are examined in this dissertation project. Potential extensions for the Palladio Component Model will examined and implemented within the dissertation project.

The results of the dissertation will be transfered to the CRC 901 "On-the-fly Computing". Furthermore, we provide an implementation in form of our SimuLizar tool.
