Fuzzy Matching of Service Specifications in On-The-Fly Computing

In the vision of “On-The-Fly Computing”, we promote
the automatic composition of services provided on worldwide
markets. In order discover services
that satisfy customer requests, service matching approaches are
required. There are already many existing service matching
approaches, but they do not cover all requirements we have
discovered for an adequate matching approach. In particular, they do not cope with challenges like uncertainty and incompleteness. In my thesis, I propose a “Fuzzy Matching” approach. Fuzzy Matching addresses these challenges by using well-defined fuzziness types and quantifying the extent of fuzziness.
