Paragon - Effective chain modeling of a drive in the interior area of motor vehicles

For technically demanding products, a large number of functional and non-functional requirements must be fulfilled. This is especially true for highly regulated automotive industry with complex products. The Chair for Product Creation supports the automotive supplier paragon in the development of model-based effect chains for mapping mechanical, acoustic and electrical interactions between the system elements of a drive in the interior area of a motor vehicle. The aim is to manage complexity in development and to be prepared for future regulations. Based on the factual logic in the V-model of VDI 2206:2021, workshops are conducted with the developers for different system maturity levels and development areas. Dependency data (traceability) is collected for modeling and enriched with expert knowledge. Subsequently, the dependencies and system elements are modeled in order to understand cause-effect relationships. Using the effect chains, both interdisciplinary communication is promoted and the possibility for intelligent impact analyses is created. This increases development efficiency.
