Mail and Groupware with Exchange

In June 2010, the HNI Network and Systems Administration migrated the e-mail-accounts of all staffmembers to the central Microsoft Exchange Server of the IMT. Each staff member can receive an inbox on this server with a maximum size of 2GB.

His mails are then directly passed on to the Exchange Server by the IMT. It is an alternative offer to the mailservice of the IMT and manages the Email transfer for the users.

Furthermore the Exchange server offers the possibility for certain user groups to store project/group calendars, addresses and mails, as well as the possibility of resource reservation for conference rooms, video projectors and other resources.
