Jungeblut, Thorsten: Implementierung ressourceneffizienter Fehlerkorrekturverfahren für die Datenübertragung in drahtlosen Netzwerken.

Abstract

In wireless networks, e.g. mobile ad-hoc-networks, so-called "Manets", more collisions as in wired networks occur because of multipath propagation, Doppler and shadowing effects. Mostly small contoll pakets cause this collisions. Content of this thesis is the implementation of resource efficient error correcting systems for data transmission in mobile networks. Therefor, an existing implementation has to be ported to a network processor. The implementation has to be flexible adaptable to the given circumstances. Time-critical parts have to be sourced out to hardware extensions of the networkprocessor. To estimate the capability the ability of correction has to be verified in a test environment. The performance of the software implemtation has to be compared with the hardware accelerated implementation. Furthermore, an outlook on possible future developments will be given.
