Abstract
The instantaneous cylinder pressure in axialpiston machines effects strongly the resulting
flow and pressure pulsation on both machine
ports as well as resulting oscillating forces
exerted on machine parts. A very common
method is to manipulate the valve plate openings
to obtain a certain pressure profile in the
displacement chamber with desired pressure
gradients and avoiding large pressure peaks.
This paper presents a new computer based
design method for automatic valve plate design
using the simulation program CASPAR
together with the extension tools AVAS and
SUEZ. The recently developed program SUEZ
allows an automatic design of valve plate
openings by reading a corresponding opening
area file. SUEZ is based on the 3D CAD System
Unigraphics. The applied methods of the
program SUEZ will be explained in this paper.
