Abstract

In this paper we present a new approach to the systematic user cen- tric development of next generation user interfaces (NGUI). Central elements of the approach are a conceptual model that extends the well established model view controller paradigm with an environment component, an iterative devel- opment methodology that guides development along the mixed reality contin- uum and tools to support the implementation. The approach is demonstrate with a concrete example of NGUI development.
