The research group Design of Distributed Embedded Systems is in close contact with leading labs at the University of Paderborn.

c-lab

Founded in 1985 under the auspices of the State of North-Rhine Westphalia, the Cooperative Computing & Communication Laboratory (C-LAB) is a joint research and development laboratory operated by ATOS and the University of Paderborn.

s-lab

The software quality lab (s-lab) is an institute for transfer of competence and technology. In the s-lab, partners from the industrial software development are working closely together with research groups of the University Paderborn on topics of software engineering.

Their aim is the development and evaluation of constructive and analytic methods as well as tools for software engineering to obtain high-value software products.

A high relevance to industrial software development combined with the necessity to use scientific methods is typical for problems the s-labs deals with.
